THE THING at Redcliffe Caves

Experience John Carpenter's 1982 horror masterpiece, 'The Thing', in the atmospheric setting of Redcliffe Caves. This unique venue, originally created in the 17th century to mine sandstone glass, has a rich history, having been used by hermits, prisoners of war, and even as an air raid shelter. Accessed through a gate on the Harbourside, the caves are usually closed to the public, making this screening a rare and exclusive event. The film follows a team of American scientists at a remote Antarctic research station who rescue a stray sled dog, only to discover it is a vicious creature capable of mimicking its prey. The screening is part of the Bristol Film Festival's 'Horror In The Caves' series, offering a chilling cinematic experience in a one-of-a-kind location.
