With the cooler weather changing the woods to its Autumn colours it’s a great chance to enjoy the woods in all their glory so please join us to get the river park area in good condition for the Winter months ahead.



This past week the council have cleared swathes of brambles from the meadow areas so we will need to ensure they don’t get chance to grow back to enable us to restore the wildflower meadows to their former glory.

As the vegetation dies back it will give us the opportunity to cut back other overgrown areas and trails as far as possible to start our work from a good position next year.

All exposed wooden signposts and information boards will also need to be cleaned and oiled to keep them in good condition through the winter ahead.

Litter picking is of course always essential to ensure visitors can enjoy and access the area safely.



The overflow car park will be opened for those who need to use it - any time from about 9:45.
