FLINTA Community Bikepacking Weekend

Join us for our September Community Bikepacking weekend - open to all those in the FLINTA community (female, lesbian, intersex, non-binary, trans, and agender)!

The route will start and end in central Bristol. We'll meet on Saturday morning at a cafe near the start of the Bristol-Bath cycle path, before cycling east towards Bath and along the Kennet & Avon canal path. We'll all camp together on Saturday night, and cycle back to Bristol on country lanes on Sunday.

On both Saturday and Sunday we'll be cycling around 40km on a mixture of small roads and smooth compacted gravel, and is suitable for any type of bike. The exact route, along with more details and what to bring, will be sent out to all attendees about a week beforehand.

This event is suitable for beginner bikepackers, but you should be comfortable with being on your bike for ~4 hours each day. We will be camping at a small campsite about halfway around on the Saturday night, which costs £10 (not included in your ticket). The route for this event is on a mixture of country lanes, paved cycleways, and slightly more uneven canal towpaths. For this reason, we recommend using a bike which you're comfortable riding on small, loose gravel - such as a hybrid, commuter, gravel, or mountain bike.

🚲 Attending, plus borrowing a full set of bikepacking bags. This includes a saddle, frame, handlebar, and top tube bag comprising roughly 40L of storage.

🚲 Attending, and are able to bring your own bikepacking bags and equipment.

Tickets are on a Pay-What-You-Can basis with a suggested amount from £15. All proceeds from tickets are reinvested back into Loop Bikepacking so that we can run future events and rent out bikepacking gear.

For insurance purposes - although we will be riding in a group, this is not a guided ride and all riders are responsible for their own personal safety. You will need to be able to have the route downloaded, either on a phone or bike computer. All attendees must be over 18 years old.
