Exploring the Glacial Kames

Same hike, different day!

We will ramble through the glacial hills, known as kames, in the heart of the Hoppers. See the historic Carter’s Spring, where generations past came to get pure water. Look for belted Kingfishers, pileated woodpeckers and Barred Owls that we heard on previous hikes. Get a feeling for how the preserve will be affected should private land in the center of the Hoppers be developed.

Moderate difficulty, some hills. Approximately 2.5 miles. Bring water and sturdy shoes, preferably hiking boots.
