£5 suggested donation on the door, no-one turned away for lack of funds
The Jesus Bolt are Hazel Winter and Gerard Starkie. Both ex members of The Blue Aeroplanes, both accomplished solo artists. Starkie also fronted Witness, releasing 2 albums on Island Records in the early Naughties. Since forming in 2018 The Jesus Bolt have released 2 studio albums and a couple of EPs and played regularly up and down the UK and Europe. Their unique mesh of folk, punk, pop and blues is a musical experience not to be missed.
"Exceptional songwriters and musicians. All human life (and death) is in here in their repertoire." Louder Than War

Joe Mansfield & the Temperance Two are bringing traditional string band music from the mountains of America into the city of Bristol and beyond. Expect old time fiddling, driving guitar and frailing banjo to get you up and keep you moving.
The trio were brought together in late 2021 through Bristol’s rich scene of trad acoustic sessions and a shared passion for Appalachian folk music. Fiddler and vocalist Joe Mansfield was joined by guitarist Kai Carter (Kai & Hollis) and Yannick Allerton (Barbican) a fresh ‘lockdown’ adopter of clawhammer banjo. Finding and sharing these swift, chordal, hypnotic rhythms has moved the band from hosting sessions in punk pubs, to street gigs outside student bars and now on to wider folk audiences.
Saturday 29th November marks the release of their debut album First Time at a War.
Funded by the bands busy gigging schedule and recorded in just three days, the album captures their drive and passion as they reflect on and react to themes such as community and authenticity in an increasingly fragmented world.
The project was engineered and mixed by Rowan Elliott (Tamsin Elliott & Tarek Elazhary, Frilittaries,) at The Roost, Bristol with mastering by Jolyon Holroyd (Seth Lakeman, Electric Soft Parade) at Valvetastic Studio, Exeter.
Initial reviews show that the bands passion and musicality is coming across well. With singles being added to rotation on Bluegrass Country radio, coming out of Washington DC
