📖 About the Event:
After winning the Queensland Music Award for Best New Jazz Release in 2022, the fabulous IMPULSE orchestra returns to the BJC for an evening of funky, swinging, world music inspired original Jazz. Founded by saxophonist Brendan Hook, this ‘mini big band,’ featuring a 5-piece horn section, brings you a mix of original arrangements and tunes that highlight groove, great solos and great listening.
Featuring Brendan Hook - Saxes/Clarinet, Ric Halstead - Saxes/Flute, Alex Price - Baritone Sax, Peter Barraclough - Trumpet/Flugelhorn, Tim LeFever - Trombone, Philip Griffin - Guitar, Brendan Scully - Bass and Will Eager - Drums.
