Around 5pm, Wednesday, August 13, 2025, Mrs. Judy Wertz found herself the victim of a devastating house fire which resulted in the total loss of her home, her vehicle, and all of the precious items and memories residing inside.
Judy is a beloved former Brimfield High School Librarian and an active Brimfield American Legion Auxiliary #452, member. Not too mention, a loving grandmother, mother, friend, and neighbor.
On Friday, August 22, there will be a benefit for Mrs. Wertz to help put a little cash in her hand so she can start to rebuild and purchase whatever items are necessary for her at this moment.
Please join us at the Brimfield American Legion from 5-8pm for Tacos, Nachos, and Margaritas! Live music performance from Cyle LaFollett will follow dinner, starting at 8pm. Along with dinner, we will be holding a raffle and silent auction. Tickets will be available to purchase at the Legion!
