Yin and Pins – A Spring Reawakening
Join Rose, experienced yoga teacher and sound healer, and Dr Nathan Chin, Doctor of Chinese Medicine and registered acupuncturist, for a deeply restorative two-hour journey combining Yin Yoga, acupuncture, breathwork, and sound healing.
Both Yin Yoga and acupuncture work with the meridians of the body to restore energy and create a profound sense of relaxation. In this special spring edition, we focus on the Liver and Gallbladder meridians, which in Traditional Chinese Medicine are linked to renewal, growth, and the element of wood. This season invites us to cultivate kindness, patience, and flexibility while letting go of anger, frustration, and stress.
We begin with a brief introduction to Yin Yoga and TCM, then move through supported Yin postures held for up to five minutes to open the meridians. Rose will guide you to find comfort in each pose, allowing your body to prepare for acupuncture. As you rest in an extended savasana, Dr Nathan will apply gentle acupuncture to key points to stimulate energy flow while the soothing sounds of crystal bowls guide you deeper into relaxation.
This practice is designed for anyone seeking complete release and restoration — no prior yoga or acupuncture experience needed, only the ability to get on and off the floor unassisted.
What to bring: Yoga mat and water bottle. All props are provided, but you’re welcome to bring your own bolster, cushion, or blanket for extra comfort. Wear layers suitable for the temperature on the day.
Post-practice refreshments will be provided to help you gently return to your day.
