♻ Recycling Plastics into Something Fabulous – with Deni
Saturday 13 September | 1–4pm | $12 at the Blackwood Environment Centre
Turn trash into treasure! In this fun, hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to transform empty chip packets into something useful and stylish. Think purses, placemats, drink coasters… even handbags!
We’ll start by making a stubby cooler while covering all the basics – prepping, weaving, and stitching strips together.
What to bring:
• Large, empty chip packets (washed – start collecting now!)
• Scissors
• Dental floss (stronger than cotton and doesn’t fray)
Some starter materials will be supplied. It’s a brilliant way to keep plastics out of landfill while making something you can actually use.
Booking essential - visit the Blackwood Library of Things, Shop 2. 10 Waite Street, Blackwood – spaces are limited!
