Meet the winemaker – Claude de Nicolay of Domaine Chandon de Briailles

Join us for an intimate evening with Claude de Nicolay, the visionary behind Domaine Chandon de Briailles, one of Burgundy’s most admired and quietly brilliant estates. Based in Savigny-lès-Beaune, and co-owned by Claude and her brother François, the domaine has been hailed by Neal Martin as “one of the most overlooked and underrated producers in the Côte d’Or.”

A light touch defines these wines; they are balanced, graceful, and delicate. As William Kelley notes, if they hailed from Vosne-Romanée or Chambolle-Musigny, they’d be “prohibitively expensive.” Instead, they remain Burgundy’s best-kept secret - for now.
