Workshop/ Course Description £160

Each class 10am- 1.30pm
£30 deposit, rest payable by bank transfer or in the shop. Works ou £40 session
Over four weeks we will cover:
• Choosing a pattern and fabric
• Measuring yourself to ensure a good
fit and some basic pattern
adjustments
• Reading and understanding patterns
and cutting out
• How to insert a zip
• Types of seams and neatening
• Sleeves, cuffs, buttons and
buttonholes
Each week will have elements of learning techniques and of completing your own garment.
What to bring:
Sewing machine (or use one of the shop machines)
Sewing kit (sharp scissors, pins, needles, tape measure, pencil and notebook)
In the first week we will discuss patterns and fabrics and we’ll begin making up your project in week 2 so you don’t need to have chosen your pattern and fabric to begin the course.
