We are made of Star Stuff - Winter Wander

🌟Join us for a 5 mile guided walk near Wold Newton, exploring the beautiful hills and dales and afterwards for a special talk by Professor Andrew Norton: “We Are Made of Star Stuff” ✨
The talk will reflect on the remarkable meteorite that landed near Wold Newton in 1795—a fiery stone from space that crashed into the quiet farmland, leaving a crater in the chalk and shaking local life. Major Edward Topham, the landowner, recorded the fall and even raised a monument, which still stands today. The meteorite went on to be studied in London, helping to prove once and for all that rocks really do fall from the skies. This is a unique chance to enjoy a walk rich in history and landscape, followed by an inspiring exploration of our cosmic connections.
