Bridging Generations: A Rotary Conversation on Belonging
At the heart of Rotary is service above self—and that includes listening, understanding, and building bridges across generations. This interactive session invites Rotarians young and old to come together and explore the shared desire to feel seen, heard, and valued within our clubs and communities.
Through storytelling, open dialogue, and collaborative activities, we’ll reflect on how each generation brings unique strengths to Rotary service. We’ll uncover common experiences, challenge assumptions, and create space for every voice—from legacy members to newer faces—to contribute meaningfully.
In this session, we reaffirm that Rotary is not just a place to serve, it’s a place to BELONG.
*Discover Rotary – Orientation Event
We invite YOU to Discover Rotary, an engaging orientation session tailored for members with up to three years of service. This event is designed to deepen your understanding of Rotary's mission, history, and global impact, while connecting you with fellow Rotarians in our district.
What to Expect:
· A guided overview of Rotary’s structure, values, and avenues for service
· Inspiring stories from experienced members
· Networking opportunities with new and seasoned Rotarians
Whether you're eager to get more involved, take on leadership roles, or simply learn the “why” behind Rotary’s work—this session is your launchpad.
*District Café - ‘Speed-Dating’ for Purposeful Connections
This dynamic session utilizes a ‘speed-dating’ structure to encourage rapid-fire conversations and meaningful networking. Participants rotate in short-timed intervals, engaging in focused dialogue with each district chairperson / committee throughout the event.
During the session, each District Chairperson will present a brief overview of their area’s key initiatives and focus topics. These presentations set the tone for conversations and invite targeted questions, offering participants the opportunity to explore potential partnerships, encourage a unified approach toward shared challenges, and gain a deeper understanding of the resources available within our district.
