Workshop - Common Mode Chokes and Baluns

Our next workshop will be based around common mode chokes and baluns. We'll look at why common mode chokes and baluns may be needed in the shack, how they work and what benefits they bring. We'll also look at the different types of choke together with the pros and cons of each and we'll make three different types of common mode choke using readily available ferrite cores and some Mini8 coax. This workshop will be held on the first club evening back following the Christmas break - Wednesday 7th January 2026. All are welcome!
