NOTE: SIA stipulates that you must hold a minimum Emergency First Aid Qualification. The Emergency First Aid course is on the first day of the course. To be exempt from attending the first aid training, you must hold a valid qualification with a validity period of 12 months.
WHO REQUIRES THIS QUALIFICATION?
Any business selling alcohol, including small pubs, retailers, large nightclubs, cafés, restaurants, hotels and sports facilities, may need trained security staff qualified as door supervisors with an SIA licence.
By law, an individual must have a Level 2 award for door supervisors in the private security industry qualification to apply for an SIA licence to work as a door supervisor.
