Inspired by Brazil

Save the date - Sunday, September 21 at 2pm! Concerts Around the Corner presents Inspired by Brazil, the debut of exhilarating new jazz repertoire rooted in the traditional Brazilian styles of Samba, Baiao, and Choro — reimagined with a contemporary edge. Led by Tyler Blanton, recipient of a 2025 NYSCA Support for Artists Grant, his ensemble blends vibraphone, bass, accordion, and percussion to craft a vibrant sonic landscape rich in rhythmic nuance and improvisational interplay. The concert will be held in Old Town Hall Theater and will be followed by a talk exploring the music and compositional process. See you there!
