Join the Barony Marche of the Debatable Lands for their monthly Baronial Scriptorium - but with some exciting updates!
Whether you’re new to our group or have been regularly attending, this month’s meeting will be held at the Whitehall Public Library, and will be open to the public! In addition to the workspace we’ll enjoy practicing our art in, this month also marks the beginning of an exciting new series of lessons presented by our Signet, Maester Owen Tegg and his Deputy, the Honorable Lady Lisabetta di Rossi. These classes will run about an hour long every month, and are optional with the goal of starting at “the beginning” of building your scribal knowledge and skills, and moving upwards in complexity from there. Handouts as well as supplies can be made available as needed. There may be future classes that require a modest class fee to help defray costs, like with goldleafing.
This event at the WPL will be open to the public, encouraging them to observe or take part in our class series, peruse a small traveling library of scribal resources we’ll be bringing, or talk with us about any questions or interest they may have in the SCA, as well! We’ll be considering returning to the WPL every quarter, or so, and will otherwise be at our usual spot! Thank you to her Excellency, Baronessa Violetta for helping facilitate this wonderful opportunity to branch out into our community more!
