Rally your crew, raise funds, and celebrate community spirit—one splash at a time! 🌊❄️ Join us for “Brave the Big Yellow Slide”, a frosty plunge benefiting the Brenham Waves Special Olympic Swim Team at the Blue Bell Aquatic Center.
This year, our fundraiser will help us purchase:
🦈 New flippers for our special needs programs to help straighten our athletes’ kick, build muscles in their legs, and give them a stronger, more confident kick in the water—especially as we learn backstroke.
🛟 Flotation belts for our fundamental athletes to keep them safe and supported while they gain independence and confidence in the pool.
👕 Team gear – swimsuits, shirts, and (hopefully!) a little something extra for every athlete.
We provide these items at no cost to our special needs families, thanks to the incredible support of our community. 💙
How It Works
Brave the Big Yellow Slide for a cause!
$10 donation – Supports the team and gets you one plunge down the Big Yellow Slide.
$20 donation – Supports the team, gets you a plunge + an event T-shirt.
You can donate yourself or raise the money through friends, family, local businesses, or anyone in the community—just have them write: “Let’s see [YOUR NAME] slide!” in the donation comment so we can track who they’re sending down!
All donations go through Special Olympics Texas into our Brenham Waves team account, so funds are only used by our team. Special Olympics Texas is a 501(c)(3), so your donation is tax-deductible.
