Onder luid klokgelui vanaf de Toren van de Grote Kerk, overhandigt burgemeester Depla om 15.11 uur de sleutels van de stad aan Prins Driekus d'n Tweejde. Met de woorden: "Kielegatters, de stad is van ons!", gaat carnaval 2026 dan ook echt officieel van start!
