What: This will be a 4-5hr 10km guided walk, roughly 400m of ascent, over Mynydd Llangorse where we will do practical navigation.
We will cover the basics of map reading with a map and compass. Learn how to take and use a bearing. Learn how to use features around to re locate and get back onto the right path. This is aimed at beginners and intermediate hill walkers.
I will also share some history about the Usk valley and the geology of the area, as well as information on the local plants and animals. The walk is on grassy and rocky paths, suitable for most levels, we will take our time on the hills!
