On Sunday September 28, we want to host a block party to celebrate the past, present and future of Saint Michaels. Where September 29th is the Feast of Saint Michael, we have always held a parish celebration on that Sunday.
In 1875, through the determined efforts of Father Henry Lane and parishioners of Saint Michael church, our beloved school opened its doors to welcome students for the first time! This year, we are celebrating our 150 year anniversary and adding a special playground dedication to the itinerary.
So many members of the community contributed to the playground fundraiser in memory of Annie Richards, in honor of alumni, and for the enjoyment of children for years to come. We want to make sure everyone knows they are welcome to Mass, and/or attending the activities afterwards.
The basic schedule is as follows: 10:30 Mass, Procession, Playground Dedication and Ice Cream Social to follow around 12:30pm.
