🍄 Mushrooms aren’t plants or animals—they’re fungi: nature’s recyclers, brainy networkers, and nutrient powerhouses. The largest living organism on Earth is a mushroom!
If you're curious about mushrooms, join BEEC and mushroom maestro Justin Garner this August for a hands-on fungi adventure: forage, ID, and (if safe) taste your finds!
✨ Bring your curiosity, notebook, and sense of wonder—BEEC is a place for learning, discovery, and support.
Justin Garner has studied botany, plant chemistry, human physiology, and biochemistry. He is an educational rockstar in terms of nourishing, medicinal, and toxic properties of our diverse fungi.
This course will include:
• Mushroom identification skills
• Ethical and safe foraging practices
• Key edible and medicinal species
• Time in the woods exploring and collecting
• Prep and sampling in the kitchen!
Course cost:
$20 to BEEC members
$25 to non-members
