The City is hosting an education session for individuals who are considering running in the 2026 Municipal Election.
This session will provide clear, factual information about serving on Council, including:
• The role and responsibilities of Council
• Time commitments and workload expectations
• Legislative and ethical requirements
• What to expect during a term of office
• Guest speaker: Rick O’Connor, MuniverseRO Consulting Inc. (former Clerk and City Solicitor, City of Ottawa)
Former councillors will also share practical experiences, followed by a moderated question period.

📍 Council Chambers, Brantford City Hall (58 Dalhousie Street)
☕ Light refreshments available from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m.
Individuals who prefer to attend virtually may participate via Zoom. Advance registration is required for virtual attendance at Brantford.ca/Election. Registration is not required to attend in person.
This session is open to anyone considering running for office. Attending does not mean you are filing nomination papers and does not confirm eligibility.
