Weβve arranged for our Ward Councillor, Navjit Kaur Brar (Wards 2 & 6), to meet with us and hear residentsβ concerns directly. This is a chance to make sure our voices are counted. We hope to also engage with other city officials such as the bylaw office.
Key issues affecting Brampton residents:
* πΈ Frivolous city spending β a 2023 building purchase went $8β13 million over market value, funded from public reserve accounts.
* β οΈ Bylaw changes with no public consultation β fines are issued immediately, with no grace period for residents.
* π· Automated Speed Enforcement cameras β revenue and impact remain unclear, raising questions about transparency and effectiveness.
* π Ignored petitions β residents submit petitions that are approved but no action is ever taken.
* π§βπ€βπ§ Minimal public participation β key decisions affecting our city are made without meaningful resident input.
π Your concerns might be different β and thatβs okay.
Weβre collecting feedback from residents to present directly to the councillor.
