Dementia Friends Training - at Full Circle Funerals Leeds

Have you heard of the Alzheimer’s Societys’ Dementia Friends initiative? Would you like to become a Dementia Friend?

The Dementia Friends Information Session gives us 5 key messages to help us to support someone to live well with their dementia.

‘When I first heard the key messages from a Dementia Friend, I had a light bulb moment of realisation of my own experience as a carer of someone living with dementia. I wish I had known about it sooner but even so, it has helped me enormously in my understanding of what was going on for them and myself’.

Who is this training for?

The session is for anyone – a carer, a volunteer, a community group, family, schools, individuals.

What is Dementia Friends Training?

Alzheimer’s Society’s Dementia Friends programme is the biggest ever initiative to change people’s perceptions of dementia. It aims to transform the way the nation thinks, acts and talks about the condition.
