Trooper’s Rest is proud to welcome Ruby Holden, a rising young talent making serious waves in the Australian country music scene.
Based in Queanbeyan, Ruby is a 17-year-old singer-songwriter with a beautifully crafted sound that blends country, pop and folk. Her performances are rich in storytelling and emotional connection, delivered with an authenticity well beyond her years.
Ruby’s achievements speak for themselves. She is the 2025 winner of the Australian National Busking Championships (Secondary Category) and earned a Top 20 placing out of more than 500 performers at the Tamworth Country Music Festival.
She’s also been a finalist at the Byron Bay Bluesfest busking competition and has opened for some of Australia’s most respected artists, including Kasey Chambers, Lee Kernaghan, Fanny Lumsden and Amber Lawrence.
A graduate of the Junior Academy of Country Music and a long-standing member and leader of the Australian Girls Choir, Ruby brings polished musicianship alongside heartfelt originals such as Consolation and Little Tree. Her voice has earned High Distinction in AMEB 6th and 7th Grade Singing, and her live sets are known for their warm, enchanting country vibes.
