Start times:
9:00am: Check-in and bib pick-up opens
10:00am: 5K and 10K races start
11:00am: FREE Kids fun run for 10 & under (mini-pumpkins or gourds to all PRE-REGISTERED finishers, or until they run out!)
Location: 5K and 10K courses starting and finishing at Bradford Preserve. Showcases preserved Town of Westerly property, plus runs through a section of Woody Hill Management Area.
Course Description: The terrain of the course is primarily dirt trails, a mix of double-track and single-track. In order to minimize bunching up at the trail entrance, the race will first run along the perimeter of an open grass field for approximately 1/3 mile before entering the trail. In addition to flags and signs, the course is marked with seasonal decorations, such as ghosts.
Requirement:
Each participant and volunteer must wear at least 200 square inches of orange. Anyone not wearing orange will not be allowed to race per State of RI DEM mandate.
Entry fees:
- Early registration (up to Sep 14): $23 adults, $18 age 18 and under
- Post registration (Sep 14 - Oct 3): $30 adults, $25 age 18 and under
- Race day (Oct 4): $35 adults, $30 age 18 and under
$5 discount to all WTAC members, $2 to all Mohegan Striders
Awards:
Awards to overall M/F finishers, plus top 1 in each M/F age group:
13 and under, 14-19, 20-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+
Food and refreshments are served post-race for participants. Strollers and dogs prohibited on the course. Walkers are welcome at all of our events; HOWEVER, for consideration of our volunteers' time, we respectfully ask walkers to choose the shorter 5K course.
