Clinic on Awareness! - Focusing on Riding

We will be out on the trail/field/obstacles.

We have all heard the words, Feel, Timing and Balance. But what comes before that? Awareness!

I want to share with you some of the ideas Joe Wolter has shared with me on awareness. What do your reins mean? What do your legs mean? Does your horse believe you? Believe IN you? What does straightness mean? Do you know what it feels like when your horse yields his hindquarters? Do you know what it feels like when the energy goes out through the shoulder? What is your horse's pattern? What is your pattern?


We will be going over ideas to start in the most basic and simplest way then continuing to advance it. Everyone is on their own journey, it’s not a competition. These are all things you use in an arena or out on the trail. The principles are all the same. Just keep it simple!
