Retreat for Therapists and professionals run by myself and Philip King
Rest. Reflect. Reconnect.
Remember why you began.
Working with clients through horses is profoundly rewarding, and quietly demanding.
We hold space for trauma, attachment wounds, nervous systems, relational ruptures, and repair.
Even with good supervision, personal therapy, and trusted peers, the work can sometimes feel lonely.
And sometimes our clients’ burdens brush against our own or stir echoes of ancestral stories we didn’t know we were carrying.
This two-/three-day retreat is an invitation to step onto an island of safety.
A space intentionally co-created for professionals to reset, soften, and re-centre.
Using the principles of Internal Family Systems, embodied practice, and the quiet wisdom of horses, we’ll explore:
•How client work activates our own parts and burdens
•How to restore Self-energy
•How horses can support your process
•How to be held by a community who truly understands this work
This is not a training.
It is not performance.
It is a place to exhale.
To let the nervous system settle.
To remember that you, too, deserve witnessing.
To listen to the horses when no one needs anything from you.
Come for:
•Guided IFS-informed experiential sessions with horses
•Reflective circles with peers who speak the same professional language
•Gentle body-based practices to restore regulation
•Quiet time, nourishing food, and nature
•A re-connection to your own inner leadership
Leave with:
•Renewed clarity
•A lighter load
•Deeper trust in your internal system
•And a felt sense of belonging in this work
You spend your life holding space for others.
Let this be a space that holds you.
