The Capegate Braai Challenge is back, and the STEAKS are higher than ever this year!
HOW IT WORKS
The 2025 Braai challenge contestants will engage in a trio of rounds during which their braai expertise will be put to the test in the quest for the supreme braai master. Bertus Basson will be the guest judge and oversee all three rounds.
Round 1: The Ultimate Boerewors Roll
Last year the finalists took it to new levels, these rolls were boujee of note!
Round 2: The Perfect Steak
The fire is on with this one, steaks need to be cooked to perfection as per the judges request.
Round 3: It's showtime!
The top 3 will get the opportunity to win over the taste buds and bellies of our judges, claiming the title as CG Braai Challenge winner 2025.
All 3 rounds will be judged by well known local chef judges, tasting your ultimate Boerewors roll, tastiest steak prepped and grilled to their specifications and finally the final round with your braai champion worthy dish.
The steaks are high and the flames are hot. But the reward is even sweeter!
The winner will walk away with prizes to the value of R 30 000 which includes a weekend away for two, R5000 Capegate Gift card and fantastic prizes from Checkers, Montagu Fruits & Nuts, Rocomamas, Bootlegger Coffee Company, Bargain Books, Xpresso, Mystical Printing and more.
