Join us for our weekly PE class at the park. Park on the side of the park near the bathrooms.
Month 1: Building Basics
Focus: Coordination, endurance, learning routines
Activities
Animal Relay – Kids race across space moving like animals (bear crawl, crab walk, frog jump). Builds agility and core.
Instructions: Mark start/finish lines. Call out an animal movement; kids move across. Older kids can go longer distances.
Jump Rope Challenge – Count consecutive jumps; add skills (cross arms, double bounce).
Fitness Circuit – Stations: jumping jacks, push-ups (modified for younger kids), squats, balance on one foot. Rotate every 45 sec.
Nutrition Lesson (Healthy Plate Basics)
Teach MyPlate (fruits, veggies, protein, grains, dairy).
Activity: Build a healthy paper plate meal with cut-out food pictures.
