Join us at Connect Roasters for a sourdough bread workshop with Yarden from Fig Tree Sourdough! Here's a little bit about Yarden:
"I’m Yarden, founder and baker at Fig Tree Sourdough. I’m 33 years old, originally from Israel, married to Stephen and mom of 2 sweet boys that are both named after fig trees! I started baking with sourdough in 2022 after becoming a mom, and quickly transitioned to baking with whole grains, stoneground, and freshly milled flour. I use all organic, grass fed, pasture raised, local (when possible) ingredients in my home and bakery."
In this four-hour workshop, you will learn everything you need to maintain a sourdough starter and bake sourdough bread at home. Yarden teaches the logic and science behind sourdough baking so you can build your own flexible routine and not need to follow strict rules. She discusses baking with freshly milled whole grains as well.

Participants will go home with:
-1 baked loaf + 2 loaves to bake at home
-Sourdough starter in a glass jar
-2 cold proofing basket sets
-A scoring razor blade
-A PDF guide for maintaining your starter and baking bread
Participants please bring the following items:
-A mixing bowl + lid/cover
-A kitchen scale
