Shabina Premji from Om and peace Ayurveda is offering this introductory class as part of her Clinical Ayurvedic Specialist internship through the California College of Ayurveda. She designed this event with a simple and heartfelt goal: to share the knowledge of Ayurveda with her community and to inspire others to weave its wisdom into their daily lives.
Shabina believes that Ayurvedic practice is beneficial for all humans—it supports a healthy life, encourages harmony and balance within the body, and increases the possibility for self-healing.
During this event, we will take a deep dive into the foundational principles of Ayurvedic philosophy, beginning with an exploration of the causes of disease and how imbalance develops within the mind-body system.
We will then look at Ayurvedic physiology through an understanding of the five elements and the three doshas, helping participants recognize how these energies express themselves uniquely in everyone.
From there, we will discuss a variety of Ayurvedic healing modalities, including:
• Diet and lifestyle adjustments
• Aromatherapy
• Yoga and pranayama
• Herbal support
• Color therapy
• Affirmations and mantras
• The therapeutic use of spices
To make the learning experience hands-on and enjoyable, we will also spend time talking about the basics of aromatherapy and create customized spritzers using essential oils. This gives each participant a practical tool they can begin using immediately to support balance and well-being.
This event is designed to educate, inspire, and empower—offering each person a glimpse into the richness of Ayurveda and how it’s simple, timeless practices can gently transform daily life.
$22 energy exchange per person.
Includes a handout and a personalized aromatherapy spritzer.
About your facilitator:
Shabina Premji is a clinical Ayurvedic specialist and the founder of Om and Peace Ayurveda in Kirkland, Washington. Ayurveda has been her passion for many years, and today she's grateful to share this beautiful healing tradition with others.
Her journey began in modern medicine—she worked as a pharmacist before stepping away to raise my children. During that time, her connection to holistic wellness deepened, and she eventually found her way to the path that felt most aligned with her heart: Ayurveda.
She is currently completing her Clinical Ayurvedic Specialist internship at the California College of Ayurveda, and plans to continue to study Vedic astrology and Marma therapy to expand the tools she offers her clients.
