Please join us on Thursday, August 21st, for a very special Marine Week Boston Wreath Laying Ceremony at the Soldiers and Sailors Monument on Boston Common.
This solemn ceremony will render formal honors to Marines who gave their lives in service to our nation, including Corporal Nicholas G. Xiarhos, United States Marine Corps, who made the ultimate sacrifice on July 23, 2009, in Afghanistan at the age of 21.
The ceremony will honor Marines who embodied the Corps’ timeless values of Honor, Courage, and Commitment—and will pay tribute to their families, who continue to carry their legacy.

As the Marine Corps approaches its 250th Anniversary, this event is part of Marine Week Boston, a series of commemorations honoring the proud legacy and sacrifice of Marines throughout history.
