Max is an Artisans Asylum veteran, who has dabbled in most of the skills practiced at the Asylum, but focusing on machining and metalworking techniques.
This is a course for students who have already begun to use the metal lathe but want to delve specifically into its ability to cut threads. The threading function on the lathe is one of its most advanced features. Once you master it, you will be able to cut any size and shape thread in most materials.
The materials fee for this class is $10. This is separate from the ticket price and is to reimburse the instructor for any tools or materials used in this class. This will be paid once, directly to the instructor at the start of the first class meeting. This instructor accepts payments in cash, or through Venmo or Paypal.

A piece of material and a threading tool will be provided for each student.
Come dressed to use the lathe (closed-toe shoes, any loose hair or clothing tied back, safety goggles).
All students must be 18 years old or older.
All students must have basic training and completed tool testing on the metal lathe.
