From October 27th to November 17th, on MONDAYS from 6:00PM - 9:00 PM;
This four-part workshop series is designed for fashion students, emerging designers, technical designers, product developers, and industry professionals seeking to deepen their understanding of sustainable apparel design and production. The workshop emphasizes hands-on learning, critical thinking, and collaboration, with each session building toward a portfolio-ready final project.
Students will:
• Understand the foundations of sustainability in the apparel industry, including key challenges and opportunities.
• Explore practical approaches to sustainable design, sourcing, and production through systems thinking.
• Apply lifecycle assessment (LCA) to evaluate environmental impacts.
• Develop skills in designing for disassembly, biomimicry, and business feasibility.
• Create a portfolio-ready project that demonstrates innovative sustainable design thinking
Prerequisite Expectations:
• Basic knowledge of garment construction and sewing
• Familiarity with basic design principles
• Interest in sustainability and circular fashion
