Gund Kwok, an all Asian Women Lion & Dragon Dance Troupe, was established in February 1998 to give Asian women an opportunity to express their creativity, power and strength through performing the lion & dragon dance.
We also offer girls and boys (under 12) of Asian heritage the opportunity to learn and perform the Lion Dance. This 5-week class is an introductory class which teaches the young people some of the fundamentals of Lion Dancing. After the completion of the 5-week Trial Class, if the young people are interested in continuing, they may register for the Gund Kwok Cubs Troupe which practices weekly and performs at various venues whenever possible.
Practices are held at the China Trade Center, 2 Boylston Street, Chinatown, on Saturdays, from 1-2 PM. The first class is on October 18.
