Gather to share and swap seeds with fellow gardeners! Open to all levels of gardening enthusiasts, from experts looking to share their tried-and-true flower seeds to beginners looking for some seeds to start their own container garden.
In January, with the holiday season safely behind us, we can all start dreaming about spring. To nurture those green dreams, gardeners are invited to this Seed Share in the library’s Great Room on January 17 from 1:00–3:00 PM.
We hope to share many varieties of locally-collected and purchased native plant seeds, as well as vegetables and herbs. For those who plan to grow seedlings for BHML’s plant sale in June 2026, this will be a great start.
Like the Native Plant Sale, the Seed Share’s success depends on donations from local gardeners. So, if you’ve collected or purchased more seeds than you need, please consider contributing your seeds.
NOTE: Donated seeds should be placed in separate packets/containers, labeled with the plant name, the year collected and the donor’s name and a contact number. Please drop off seed donations at the library by January 10 (we need to organize!).
This event is free and open to all. Light refreshments will be provided.
