FrogWatch Meeting

This FrogWatch USA meeting will introduce participants to the scientific goals and methods of the FrogWatch USA program, a nationally recognized citizen science initiative that monitors frog and toad populations across North America. The event will explain why amphibians are important ecological indicators, how their calls are used to collect long-term population data, and how this information supports conservation and environmental research. Attendees will learn how volunteers are trained to identify species by sound, follow standardized data-collection protocols, and contribute meaningful data used by scientists and wildlife managers. The meeting is open to students, educators, and community members with an interest in ecology, conservation biology, or environmental science, and no prior experience is required.
