Visions In Clouds
Visions in Clouds (CH) originated in the suburbs of Lucerne. The music collective has committed itself to all things synth-pop, post-punk and wave. In 9 years of band history, they refined their style. Through their releases and tours across Europe over the past four years, they have made a name for themselves in scenes from East to West.
And in their new single ‘Backfired’, the band does what they do best: celebrating the abyss, melancholy in danceable form. With a new wave disco track in late night manner, VIC addresses the end of a relationship, where self-deception and empty promises meet a naive final optimism: ‘Oh, you know that it’s bad for you – I won’t let something happen to you.’
‘Backfired’ is the first single from the Lucerne-based indie wave band’s upcoming fourth studio album, which will be released in spring 2025. The songs tell the story of dealing with the end of an interpersonal relationship. In this story, ‘Backfired’ forms the starting point from which the songs descend further and further into the depths – always questioning, always searching.
