Save the date! for a SRERiously Fast day out on the Snowy river!!
This year’s Lower Snowy Giant Slalom (LSGS) is bringing the heat! Whether you’re here to paddle hard, holler from the banks, or just soak up the vibes, LSGS is all about fast lines, big grins, and celebrating the wild spirit of the Snowy.
When the beloved SRER got canned, we couldn’t just sit around twiddling our paddles. So we dreamed up the Giant Slalom—a downriver showdown for everyone to enjoy. With a hand-crafted course by the one and only Nick Herrald, sweet prizes on the line, and plenty of bragging rights up for grabs, this is one event you do not want to miss.
Leading up to the event there’s is a few days of paddling in the snowy area to warm up and dust off any cobwebs rough paddling schedule is as follows.
The Plan:Two solo races—competitors must enter both:
1. Downriver Sprint – no gates, just pure speed. Fastest boater wins.
2. Downriver Slalom – soft gates, 3 runs each. Your best 2 runs will be combined and counted as your score.
