Participate in the longest-running citizen survey in the world!
Be a part of the Annual Christmas Bird Count held by the National Audubon Society hosted by the Lake George Land Conservancy! A tradition for over 125 years the CBC is the nation’s largest community science effort on birds. This annual census includes volunteer birdwatchers from all over the Western Hemisphere. It has grown to have over 80000 volunteers conducting local counts each year at more than 2000 sites in the United States almost 500 in Canada and over 180 in Latin America the Caribbean and the Pacific Islands.
Participants can monitor by car foot boat or even their birdfeeder in their backyard!
