csv,conf,v9 is back for its ninth edition! Join us at the historic Palazzo Malvezzi de' Medici in Bologna, Italy. csv,conf is a welcoming data-centric conference that is for anyone! We focus on stories about the people that work with data, and how their projects impact the world. Past participants have included scientists, local government officials, data hobbyists, open source contributors, academics, and more! You can watch previous talks on our YouTube channel.

This year's theme is “Data for Communities," which means recognizing that data doesn’t just belong in servers or spreadsheets; it belongs in the hands of people working to improve their neighborhoods, social services, educational resources, and policy decisions. It’s about exploring how community groups, civic organizations, and local advocates can use open data to identify pressing issues, build trust through transparency, and create lasting, positive change.

At csv,conf,v9, we will have sessions where researchers and practitioners discuss the latest tools for crowdsourced data collection, city planners showcase open datasets that have guided equitable infrastructure projects, and educators share insights on how to integrate data literacy into underserved communities. csv,conf is community-run and the community is at the heart of everything we do. That’s why we’ve built a ticketing model designed to ensure everyone can participate, while being transparent about what your ticket pays for.

What’s included in every ticket:

• Access to all sessions and keynotes
• Catering (breakfast and lunch) both days
• Daily coffee breaks & snacks
• Admission to our evening reception (food, drinks, socializing!)

Ticket options:

1. Full-Price Ticket
   This is the true cost of attending and helps cover not just your participation, but also supports the venue, meals, speaker travel, accessibility services, and helps us fund others who can’t pay.
   If you’re able, we encourage you to choose this option. It keeps csv,conf thriving and inclusive.
2. Subsidized Ticket
   A reduced-price ticket for anyone who needs it. You’ll still receive everything a full-price ticket offers, no questions asked.
   This option is here so that cost isn’t a barrier to joining the community.
3. Unable-to-Pay Ticket
   This no-cost option is reserved for those who truly cannot pay.
   It’s made possible entirely by others choosing to pay the ticket options above.
   We ask that you select this option only if it’s the difference between being able to attend or not - honor system.
