The Idaho Blues Society's August Blues Jam will be held 1-5 p.m., next Sunday, August 31, at Watson’s Mystery Café, . The host band will be the Trials and Tribulations Blues Band, who will play a short set at the open and close of the jam.
Idaho Blues Society blues jams are held the last Sunday of each month (except December).
Doors open at 12 noon for musician sign-up. Jammers, bring your talent, instruments, cables, and pedal boards.
Note: Backline is provided, including sound equipment and sound tech, amps, drum kit, keys, and microphones. Please do not bring your own amp.
Blues fans of all ages are welcome. Drinks and pub food available.
There's no cost to participate in or attend this jam hosted by the Idaho Blues Society, an all-volunteer, nonprofit organization of blues music fans. A voluntary donation of $5 is requested to help pay the host band and support IBS-sponsored blues music programs for youth in the community, including Blues in the Schools, Youth Music Scholarships, and Instrument Repair and Donations to Schools and Students, Donations also help cover the costs of producing live music performances by local and touring bands at various venues throughout the year.
