🌾Paige Skinner explores how sagebrush—a keystone species of the western landscape—responds to drought and heat through transcriptomic plasticity, the ability to flexibly adjust gene expression without changing DNA. Her work identifies molecular mechanisms that support resilience, offering new insights to guide ecosystem restoration in a rapidly changing climate.
🔬David Oke examines the classic Notch signaling pathway through the modern concept of biomolecular condensates. His research reveals how these dynamic cellular structures may organize gene regulation and uncover new layers of complexity in how cells communicate and develop.
