October Get-Together

We are looking forward to our Annual October Get Together.

This will take place on Sunday 19 October starting at 2pm (doors are open from 1.30pm) and finishing around 4.30pm.

It is a good chance to reflect on the past year with fellow growers and enthusiasts and if time permits a Q&A session with the dahlia experts.

There is a small £1 entrance fee which includes a free cup of tea or coffee during the interval and we are also holding a raffle. The venue has free parking and disabled access.

We are also pleased to welcome two speakers for the afternoon, Tim Cockerill and Liam Shoesmith.

Tim brings an insight into his passion for photography of flora and fauna with a vast range of subjects covered including the art of photographing your favorite blooms.

Liam brings his experience as a nurseryman with Truro Council with a talk on the cultivation and care of the plants, including dahlias, which adorn the public spaces we so often take for granted as we drive or walk past them in the city. I’m sure this will give us all an insight in to the “behind the scenes” work which goes into the presentation of these fine displays.

We look forward to seeing you all. Everyone is welcome whether you are a member or not so bring your friends and enjoy a fun afternoon.
