New Sculpture Unveiling at the Town of Bluffton Welcome Center

Join us on Thursday, October 24, at 9 a.m. as the Town of Bluffton and its Public Art Committee unveil a new sculpture at the Town's Welcome Center in Wright Family Park, located at the Squire Pope Carriage House. The event is open to the public.

Created by artist Brandy Scholl and selected through a competitive process by the Public Art Committee, this is the first permanent installation approved since the committee was established in October 2023. The stainless steel sphere features laser-cut illustrations of the May River, native wildlife, and important figures from Bluffton's history, including the Wright family and the Gullah Geechee community. The sculpture sits on a concrete base engraved with the outline of the May River.
