WORLDWIDE PAINT OUT

This is a FREE event sponsored by Appalachian Artists Association & The Sanders House; all local artists and the public are invited to participate in the International Plein Air Painters Worldwide Out.
Bring your own supplies and join some of the area's most talented artists, as they draw, paint, or photograph on the grounds of the Saunders House in Bluefield, VA. In addition to the Victorian era house there is a spring house, a granary building, the historic Bailey's Cabin, and The Railroad Museum, all set against the beautiful backdrop of East River Mountain.
Plein air artists seek the quality of natural light and atmosphere outdoors, their work is in direct response to the beauty they find in natural settings. International Plein Air Painters has members who reside throughout the world, it is a blanket organization created for the sole purpose of advancing the execution and enjoyment of plein air painting. 2025 marks the 24th anniversary of the International Plein Air Painters event. The public is invited to join in the fun by watching or working along side local artists in this world wide event.
