Christmas Yard Contest

Get out the lights, grab a wreath, and get decorating your yard because we're having a Christmas decorating contest!

Families, register your house in this year’s house decorating contest and help bring some holiday spirit to Blue River. Houses entered in the contest will be voted on by the community during the Christmas in Blue River event on Saturday, December 13. Prizes will be awarded for the top three best decorated houses. A metal sign will be place temporarily on the winning lawn.

Entry is free, no cost or fees apply.

Entry applications must be received no later than December 10, 2025. To register either send a message to the Friends of Blue River Facebook page or contact Jill Nankee, 608-604-0383.

Contest is for exterior decorations only, including decorations in windows that are visible from exterior.

Judging will be done from outside the residence only. Judging will be based on "curb appeal" as viewed from the street only. Therefore, only those decorations located on the street side of the property will be judged (corner lots will be judged from both streets).
