Calypso Nights - Caribbean Music in the Carlo Theatre

Welcome to Calypso Nights! For over forty years, the Steel Pan has found a home here in Humboldt. The community of players has grown, and this evening will have elementary, middle, high school, college, and professional musicians playing Steel Pan.

Blue Dragon Steel Band is a group made up of Blue Lake and Trinidad school students. The Arcata High Steel Pan Club is an after school program supported by the Arcata Arts Institute. The Redwood Steel Band is a community based band that practices in the summertime to keep up their skills when the Humboldt Calypso Band is out of session.

Presented by Dell'Arte and Sponsored by the Humboldt Folklife Society this all ages show is going to have Blue Lake moving and shaking. Doors at 7pm; show at 7:30pm
